We listened intently - gathered around her hospital bed - it was like time stood still and no other sound could be heard - the codes being bellowed , or the beeps and bells and whistles of machinery measuring life, the gurney wheels carting patients or staff in hallways and at bedsides discussing patient care - none of that could be heard - only her sweet voice - seeping out of her beautiful face laden with every emotion - and she began..............."I HAD A DREAM LAST NIGHT, I WAS HOME ON PEARL HILL STREET, (our childhood home), AND DADDY WAS THERE (my Dad passed in 1984), WE WERE STANDING IN THE LIVING ROOM LOOKING OUT THROUGH THE FRENCH DOORS WATCHING A BIG SNOW STORM, (tears fell as she spoke, we were all paralyzed with emotion, clinging to her every word), I SAID TO DAD, WE BETTER GET THE GIRLS INSIDE (me and my Sister), SO WE WILL ALL BE INSIDE TOGETHER AND WE CAN ALL FACE THE STORM FROM HERE, LOOKING THROUGH THE FRENCH DOORS.........."
My Mom believes that it was my Dad's way of telling her he is with her as she faces this HUGE storm - we are all with her - just like when we were all together on Pearl Hill Street. Everyone was crying, and then the other noise returned as audible and time no longer stood still -
Many life-changing decisions are being made - my Mom is very brave - and she, we, will face this storm together. Some issues are resolved - some have a treatment direction - some, well all, is in God's hands.
Please continue to pray, please.........
P.S> and know that I SO appreciate every caring comment - your love and prayers mean so much.

Our dreams are sometimes so real as if we are right there and they bring on such strong feelings.
Take care, Gail and be strong!

The dream was a gift and such a confirmation of how she family is such a high value for her - wanting you all to be together, safe, connected as you face this storm. Seems like it was a wish for you as well as herself.
Thinking of you and your mother Gail. Do take care of you too.
What a lovely dream. Everything she cared about was there. I am happy for her that she had this dream. I am sure it gives all of you the strength that is required.
Lots of love, Gail, to you all.
Gail
Your Mom wants and needs you there through the storm and you are there. That is the greatest you can do.
You are in my thoughts... Tramp
I am so glad that you are all there with your mom Gail. That is the important thing. I hope that your mom's dream was a comfort for her a well as you. I will continue to pray for your family. Love Di ♥
Gail, this is the most poignant piece of writing I've seen for a long time. The moments when life become real, when we are not just existing, but are noticing life as it passes through us, those are the times that define us.
The dream is lovely, and so telling. I'm certain he is with her - and not the father of your past, but instead, his higher self, the light that guided him in life.
love, peace and prayers.
Dearest Gail,
The receiving and so the giving. The giving and so too, the receiving... and life becomes known on to itself. Mother ~ Child, Child ~ Mother, ever held in Divinity's embrace.
In loving friendship, blessings and prayers,
Rose Marie
Thinking of you, Gail! Love, Janine XO
I believe your Dad did visit your Mom in her dream. And I believe he was telling her that there was a safe haven for her, for all of you throughout this storm.
You and your family will be in my thoughts and in my prayers, and as you take one of life's sad journeys hang on to the joy that will also accompany you. Don't miss the gifts, I think sometimes we get so caught up in the bad and the sad that we have a tendency to overlook the beautiful little gifts, at least I know I did.
Love to you,
Eileen
Dear Gail,
I followed you here from Sniffles and Smiles blog. Isn't Janine just the best :)
I have read your posts about your mother and how worried you are and how sick she is.
Know, I will be praying for you, your mom and for your whole family. Sadly, I know how terrible these times are for you all.
The good news is your mother will be okay. I believe your father is with her.
I believe the dream your mother had is your father telling your mom ((his wife)) he loves her and he loves his girls. I believe he is telling you all he IS with you.
I will be praying hard for a miracle for your mother...I am so sorry you have to go through this.
Don't worry about coming to my blog unless you just want a break from your worries.
Love and prayers to you.
Lisa
