WE DANCED

Our dear young friend was married - Ashley, to Pete.  She was my intern some years back and has gone on to become a LMFT.  She is stunningly gorgeous and a fun,  delightful, humble, bright loving soul that I adore and so does Skipp.  We re-named her - "Sophie Lennon", saying that if we ever had a daughter we would hope for one like her and would have named her "Sophie Lennon".  :-)

I did well navigating the beautiful, spacious hotel.  I had a small melt-down when I was waiting to get on the shuttle bus from the hotel to the reception.  It was a huge bus and folks had already boarded. I was embarrassed. - unsure if I could manage the steps and so forth.  My fears were calmed by the time the second bus arrived and I boarded without incident.  phew........

The ceremony was simple, loving and so beautiful.  The reception - elegant, classy and fun.  AND - I walked on to the dance floor with Skipp and WE DANCED  an entire slow number.  It was wonderful to be moving and swaying and connecting totally in dance.  I was so grateful.  :-)

For some reason blogger wont let me add a video - it would have been "Have A Little Faith In Me" - by Joe Cocker - perfect song for our dance.

Hi Gail,
Thanks for stopping by on my blog. So glad to hear that you danced. Isn't there a song called, "We Danced?" I have the melody in my mind, but I don't know who sings it or the rest of the words.
Take care.

HI CHOICES-ANNE

Yes, it is by Brad Paisley - a very Country and Westrn tune about a girl who came back to a bar, after hours to get her purse and although it was closed she and the bartender/owner 'danced'. if you go to you tube and put in "we danced" in search it will come up. so good to see you.

Beautiful Gail! So happy you had a wonderful time. I could see it all in my mind you described things perfectly!

I do hope your doing well. I'm sorry for my absence. . . The kids and I have been doing some "Heavy Schooling" these days studying Homer, OEDIPUS REX and tonight I forget what I have for us to study tomorrow and the rest of this week :) but I assure you it's a Greek tragedy. :)

Don't worry a few more of these and we will be moving on ward and up ward. We are studying world history through Literature this year. If we are not smart our brains will be fried!!!!

Much love to you! and so happy you had a wonderful time.

xoxox, Lisa

Gail, this is so beautiful.

I've always loved dancing at weddings, it's so reflective and brings about deep emotions and lots of wonderful memories of weddings and couples, and good wishes for the newlyweds just starting out.
And, there's something about a slow dance, it doesn't matter if the room is packed, you feel like it's just you two, moving in step together, and the whole world sort of melts away for those few moments.

So glad you got to enjoy this special occasion!
Love to you,
Eileen
PS ~ I tried to get here a few days ago, but my sidebar wasn't cooperating. Today seems good, so I'll have to visit as many blogs as I can.
I'll be away for a few weeks, so I'll visit again at the end of October.
