Dear friends-
I am in distress with this injured knee. It is so painful and quite debilitating because I cannot put weight on it - I am using a rollator in the house and it is still excruciating. It seems that muscle spasticity, strong upward spasms from MS that actually twist and wrench my knee have pulled the tendons and such quite badly. I can barley walk. My PCP ruled out other causes via x-ray and blood work as the reason for the spasms and subsequent injured knee. I see the neurologist today to see what, if anything can be done to lessen these wrenching spasms. Meanwhile as they continue, my knee wont heal and the pain and debilitation forges on. I am quite discouraged and sad. I feel so helpless as there is little I can do for myself. I wont be able to be on my computer much due to it's location and my overall distress. Pray for me as I continue to hold you all close during this difficult time.
I am also so sad that I cannot get to my Mom - I miss her terribly and I so want to be there for her. I wonder why this is so. Sometimes God really confuses me.

Oh Gail I am so very sorry for your pain. I will be praying very hard that there is something that can be done. Perhaps something that will help even more in the long run.
I will also keep your mother in my prayers. I understand how frustrating this must feel for you but please try to focus your energies on what needs to be done for your own healing. You can't be of any help to others until you get the help that you need. Please try to let me know what neurologist has to say.
Please focus on your own health and healing right now. I will pray in the meantime, Love you Dear friend, Love Di ♥

There must be something you can do for this. Hope the neurologist could offer some help. Do you have something to help with the pain?

Dear Gail, I am sorry that your knee is giving you so much pain. I pray that God will ease your pain and suffering. Please keep us up to date on yourself. Can you wrap it in an ace bandage?

Love and Hugs to you,

Thank you all for your love and prayers and concern.

The neuro-doc says this is part of MS symptoms. /spasms - and can cause a lot of damage to surrounding tendons, tissue, muscle, joints etc.!!! ya think??

I have to ride it out, because muscle relaxers or anti-spasm meds are VERY dangerous for MS muscles so it is lots of fluids, warm moist heat, alleve or tylenol for pain, lots of elevation-rest-and gentle manipulation to keep a good blood flow and beyond that? it is what it is.
I am exhausted.

Love you all
peace and hope and healing

Gail, I'm really sorry to hear of your distress. Would a massage pad help with the manipulation and blood circulation.

I do hope it clears up quickly. Try your best to stay positive!

Oh Gail I am sorry that you are in pain, and then the worry of your mother......eeeek!

Is there a way someone could push you in a wheel chair for a quick visit to see your mum, he may bring you some relief.

Spasms are so painful, I alternate a heating pad with an ice bag and it seems to help.

Keeping you and your family in my heart and prayers.....:-) Hugs
