The "Storm"

Hi all - looks like hurricane Sandy is headed our way - BIG TIME!! We will most likely, definitely lose power by tomorrow night and will be out for days - predictions say 7 to 10 days.  We got all of our supplies yesterday and secured our home as best we could.  The rest is up to "Sandy" and "God".  Both, forces to be reckoned with  :-).....
I am going to shut down my computer tonight before going to bed because the high winds are expected to come in over night and I don't want my computer to "crash".  I hope you will all be safe and secure during 'Sandys' wrath and that we meet again on the other side of the storm....'the perfect storm - or so they are calling it.

You are preparing like we are - yet we are far away from the water! We are charging everything, getting the laundry done, and stocking up!

Stay safe!

Good luck, Gail. Here I sit in NJ, watching all the hype, and saying, "Is this really going to happen?" Well, it's headed right toward us, so I guess I'll try to be prepared.
Peace,
Muff

HI MUFFIE -
Ya, it is definitely heading right to New Jersey and Connecticut is on the right side making our winds and surges catastrophic. God be with us all. See you after "Sandy" leaves

Love Gail

Good luck, Gail. I hope everything is OK and, in fact, it's not as bad as they say.

Good luck, Gail. The eye of the storm is predicted to pass about 100 miles south of us; let's see what happens...

thank you all for checking in on me and for your prayers. this is quick as I am at the library catching up on emails etc. since we are on day FIVE w/no power. we had a lot of destruction but our home and our selves are safe. we are managing the aftermath together, hauling water for flushing, grilling food we buy each day, make shift showers, (use your imagination) and so forth. I hope any of you who were impactd are all ok as well. I will see you all once we have power.
Love, Gail
peace.....
