The above song by Joni Mitchell has a line in it about 'blankets to my chin'. Skipp sings this song so beautifully and it is one of my/our favorites to sing. He does an amazing job on guitar too. Such a talent. :-)
We are going to enjoy the day at home. I have a lasagna all made and ready to be heated later. We have a wine rack with a variety of red wines from which to choose for our Italian meal - we bought garlic knots to heat up and there is plenty of wood inside for a good fire in our wood stove to warm us - I just looked out our slider and the snow is coming down hard again - it is so beautiful since we are home - together - blessed and in love. Amen.

Rose Marie
Brr! looks very cold, but a winter wonderland for sure. Gracie Blue has grown so much!
Keep warm!
Smiles and Take care.
Your day sounds wonderful. I have seen on the news the CT was getting a lot of snow.
It is lightly snowing here but very very cold, we are suppose to get even more snow over the next few days.
Have a great day with your beloved.

Dearest Gail, A special dedication awaits... Love, Rose Marie

I tried to get here yesterday but Blogger wasn't cooperating again, even now the blogs I visit have the posts jumping all over so it's hard to read. But I was able to read your peace and contentment, and I felt the same way yesterday, almost a welcome feeling to be 'stuck in' with the ones you love!
Stay contented!
You sound wonderful and so Blessed!
Love to you,
Eileen

Blessed...what a fucked up word. It is a word that implies receipt and passivity. Blessings do not require us to do nothing. We are required to create our own blessings, which you, and your husband, have done remarkably well, in the Land of Oz in which you live.
Beautiful photographs of your lovely winter, Gail. As you enjoy your day evening with your Skip, I send you warm hugs and smiles. Thank you for these photos... They are so pretty to me.
Love,

Gail,
You sound so snug, warm, and happy there, snowbound in the wilds of Connecticut. My wife and I were in southern New Mexico when the storm hit the East Coast and I was sure our return flight to Philadelphia would be canceled and I'd be spending a night on a cold, hard airport floor instead of snuggled in bed like you. But Philadelphia only got about five inches, the airport was never closed, and we made it home safe and on time! Now it's time for you to get pumped for digging out!

So nice to see you. :-) Good news that you and your wife made it home safely and easily. And ya, we are still digging out, well, my husband is digging out - I keep the hot chocolate ready and waiting and the fire going to warm him. Nice, huh? :-)

Wonderful snow photos, Gail...20 inches sounds exciting. We have less here, but enough to make all the views peaceful. Grandkids had a few snow days, which they loved. Take care and stay warm...hope your mom is doing well.

It is so good to see you and I am glad you enjoyed my pictures. Richard and you and your family remain in my prayers.

Hi Gail
After an early start to the winter two months ago we are having a warm spell. Rain has washed almost all our snow away but it should return next week. Keep that hot chocolate on the go and that stove banked up.

Your pictures are beautiful! and the post makes me want to come to your house and be snow bound! :) It sounds wonderful! Do you have room for 6? ;)
Is it still snowing???? Are you expecting snow again. WE ARE!!! and we live in the South...This will be the third snow storm we have had in a month...A MONTH....Hello?!?! The South where the temps. are usually 52 degrees this time of year.
Brrrrrrrrrr :)
Love to you!!!! STAY WARM!!!!!!!
HI LISA-
So good to see you. We had another storm Thursday nite into Friday with another 7 to 8 inches and another storm is coming Wednesday. ANd it is so odd that the South is getting snow too. Amazing, huh? And six of you? Ummmm, well, it would be tight! :-)
And it is so cozy here - we love it. Stay warm.
